HELLO, JERRY!
A CELEBRATION OF JERRY HERMAN
Role: Ensemble

For two performances only the Royal Academy of Music Musical Theatre Company performed a glittering concert celebration the work of legendary Broadway composer and lyricist Jerry Herman.
Tony-awardwinning Herman is known for his seminal musical theatre classics including 'Hello, Dolly!', 'Mame' and 'La Cage aux Folles'.
The songs and production numbers were interweaved into several thematic sections, such as Herman’s opening numbers, his love songs and his vision of Hollywood.
The result is a real musical also daring to explore the lesser-known treasures of Herman’s work from his two most underrated musicals 'Dear World' (1969) and 'The Grand Tour' (1979) which both disappeared too quickly on Broadway and only recently had brief stints in London at the Charing Cross and Finborough Theatres.
The evening was spectacularly enhanced by a 42-piece orchestra, conducted by Daniel Bowling.
